Why is my ping so high?
Hey peeps,
I have just run a speedtest using speedtest.net and also testing on the London server and my ping is about 65ms, why is it so high and how can I reduce it?

Try a different server London has always given me high latency.

Just tried with the manchester Server and its giving 40ms, a lot better

You should be able to get down to 20ms and as low as 10 from some if they are close enough. For ping your better using pingtest.net or even better command prompt and pining a domain.

That ping is at the mercy of Flash and your browser, ignore it it's unreliable and irrelevant.

Just done a speed test using speed test and my ping was 86 and ive just used ping test and i got a ping of 23
edit just done another 2 tests; 1 from same server as the ping test and the ping was better and ive done a ping from a server thats closer and the ping is better
