Which provider?

Hi all,

Debating what to do and need some help.

Do I go with BT infinity - up to 40mb (estimated 20mb) and stick with Sky on half price for 6 months or do I go to Virgin 50mb and their XL tv package?

Ive heard BT infinity drop your speed after 100gig, whereas Virgin do not have any caps or shaping on their 50mb?

Any recommendations?

Re: Which provider?

Call BT and ask about the 100 gig cap. And Virgin don't, no.
If I was you, if you don't have a 100 gig cap, go with BT Infinity and Sky.

Re: Which provider?

Hmmmmmm

Ok... now. If I go with virgin tv + bb for the year it would be £755.88. If I went for virgin bb, and sky @ half price for 6 months it would be £728.88 for the year.

What is virgin tv like compared to sky tv?

Depends who you ask.

For me Sky is streets ahead but others say quite the opposite.

I think the only way is to try it for yourself.

Re: Which provider?

If I go with virgin, they do the 28 day return thing. Would I get the £49 activation back?

Re: Which provider?

Well that's been called the Get out of Jail Free option, so you probably can but you should corroborate it with someone more in the know than myself.

It's 300GB on the BT Infinity service now.

If you need more than that, well, a cap on the service is probably the least of your concerns
