Just moved to BT for broadband and `phone.
Right. Just made the move to BT Internet and `phone from Sky.
I forgot to ask BT if our `phone number will stay the same as we have a BT line anyway. I think it will stay the same.
Is this correct?
Cheers.

Were you paying Sky line rental or just calls?

Re: Just moved to BT for broadband and `phone.
If just calls then yes you should keep the number, if you had them for rental then you would have more problems. In effect you are just porting call costs back to BT again.

BT Broadband is fine most of the time, I'm also out in the middle of nowhere, I get a full 8mb (I know, nothing to boast about) and I've had very few problems so far, the trouble starts when something goes wrong and you end up on the phone to their indian call centres, their staff are only trained as far as reading from a script.

Re: Just moved to BT for broadband and `phone.
He is correct in saying its better than Sky connect. Im stuck with connect for 12 months as I jumped ship back to 50mb and couldnt get out of my Sky contract :P
The difference between Connect and BT is, BT can actually give you the 8mb broadband and not a massive 0.25mb's that connect users get most of the day rendering it useless.
Although I hate both BT and Sky when it comes to internet id go for BT 100% If I had to choose.
