both daughters have moved out of home :)
hi there chaps
both my daughters have recently moved out of the house to places of there own, lucky buggers, i am still stuck with her LOL !!!!.
We have been with NTL for a very long time and of course number one daughter has her own email address @ntlworld.com
i just bought them a lap top each, and they have each commited to £15 a month with t-mobile for a usb dongle.
number one daughter now finds she cannot send emails using her ntlwold.com address !!! can recieve ok ???!!!
what is the solution, i can redirect my ntlworld.com emails to a completely different domain, but i havent got the same option for her email addy.
any suggestions please chaps ?.

Create a gmail account and send via that?
She could still receive from the ntlworld servers.

The problem arises because VM do not allow off-net email sending via SMTP - though she could log into the webmail to send from the VM email address.

I am of the opinion that this cannot be done, i log into my Virgin/NTL EMail Inbox by using her emaill address and i get my inbox not hers !!.

If you've simply reconfigured your mail client, say Outlook then you would!

Just jest a test mail to each mailbox (with diffrent subject headers) test to Fred's, test to Jane etc and logon to the mailboxes via webmail - that way you know the mailboxes are different.

On all NTL accounts the mailboxes are separate so if you login using your own details say timmytoad@ntlworld.com and use your password you will get only your account.
Now if your daughter tries to login with her account say taniatoad@ntlworld.com using her password she will only login to her account.
You cannot login to her account with your details and nor can she login into your account using her details it is just not possible.
Also with Webmail you can login and use it virtually anywhere.
