Vodafone USB Dongle - PAYG (Cant Chat / MSN)
I have a laptop & on Wifi in the house its working 100% ok. Firefox browser & I can Facebook Chat & MSN.

I have a USB Vodafone Pre-Pay USB Dongle (the credit never expires & not a rolling 30 day plan).

When online FaceBook chat wont work (gives error) & MSN wont work.

Is this normal? or is there a setting to fix this?

Had a £30 a month Orange USB Dongle to test & it works ok on that.

When I got my Vodafone USB dongle I found that they put a content lock on all their connections by default. Can't remember what I was trying to access - it was something very innocent - but I had to ring them to get them to unlock it. I was pretty miffed as I was on holiday at the time!

I would suggest that if that's on, that might be blocking certain ports etc.

Same thing here, you need to get them to lift the restrictions by phoning the customer services department or taking your dongle to a Vodafone store.
I only found out because I wanted to buy a CD of Irish Folk Music
