A leading internet service provider in the UK has declared that it will refuse to follow government orders to restrict, slow down or cut off its customers’ internet access under rules set out in Lord Mandelson’s (pictured) Digital Economy Bill.

The provider, TalkTalk, which has over 4 million internet users, has declared the legislation “draconian� and says it will not cooperate with its provisions. [more]

Problem is the recording industry has paid enough backhanders to make sure this never happens. The recording industry now has carte blanche to sue who ever they want, when they want and there is nothing we can do about it..

It's not on BT's network if it is on TalkTalk LLU though

BT would likely be breaching contract if they censored on the wholesale level, although aaisp's blog does suggest BT wholesale may well do that. But as you have said I expect that would for ipstream/WBC only.
