Best Internet and phone line package
This has probably been asked loads before, but I want to know which companies people would advise for phone and Internet packages only.
Currently we're on BT phone and Internet, paying quite a lot of a poor service. We want to change both the phone and Internet.
We cannot get Virgin Media here.
We can only get up to 5Mb, because that's all our exchange can handle, and we'd like free calls to 01/02 and preferably 0870/0845 numbers during evenings, possibly throughout the day.
TalkTalk is offering the best offer on paper at the moment, with up to 8Mb broadband, 40GB montlhy limit, free evening and weekend calls, including to 0845/0870, free router...all for £18p/m. But what's the service like? Is there a good website or anything with reviews about TalkTalk?
We have Sky TV, and been looking at an offer on their website which is: up to 20Mb broadband, unlimited downloads, free router, free evening and weekend calls, including 0870.

Virgin & Virgin lol. I would recommend them for excellent service and the fact that no one else are permitted to use their network. They may not be the cheapest but they are far more reliable than anyone else imo.

TalkTalk is probably the cheapest you'll find but their service is quite cheap as well. You might get lucky and have no problems but your more likely to have problems with them.

Yuk....
Personally, move the Phone line to BT....
Secondly, go with BE*, they seem to be "one of the best" for ADSL.
Steer well clear of Talk Talk, BT, Virgin Media's National Service.

Re: Best Internet and phone line package
Probably o2 will be the best price wise when they start up in March at about £17.50 for their standard package inc line rental
Am with o2 already for Broadband and not had a glitch yet with a constant D/L speed since i started. Looking forward to the £9.50 line rental.

Re: Best Internet and phone line package
I would agree.... Go with O2/Be* as their packages on LLU'd exchanges are great, and if your exchange isn't LLU'd then O2's Customer Service (in my experience) has been 2nd to none.
