ADSL options

Hi all been with bt for phone line for just over a year now after moving into a 5 year old hour with cable across the road distance of about 3 car widths but nothing here, any way Ive got sky which I get my broadband off which at the time of getting it was upto 16meg.
Bt had already told me that I would only get about 4 to 4.5 off them which up until last few weeks is what I was getting on the sky ,but seems to of dropped to 3.5 now.
Queston is that other services are available at the exchange which is http://www.samknows.com/broadband/exchange/WMBUR which also says its due for upgrade ,BT Wholesale WBC has set an enablement date of 31/03/2010 for the Burslem exchange. distance of exchange is 1.4 miles by road and 1.13 direct.
would I get any better speeds off any of the others and secondly will I see any differance after the WBC upgrade.
These speed are like being in the stoneage after being on 20 meg for a few years and 10 before that, and now cable offering 50meg its a kick in the gut lol.
BT have to come into the modern world and catch up a bit.

Re: ADSL options

Try Be*, which is the slightly more techie version of O2. You can ask for different SNR margins and have fastpath turned on to decrease latency on Be*.
