Question Sky Wireless (PCMCIA card)

My friend has a Sky V2 Sagem F@ST2504 router & needs a PCMCIA Card for his laptop (as it does not have built in wi-fi). USB version would be in the way & could be a problem with kids use laptop so he thought PCMCIA card would be better.

What is the spec of Sky Router? 802.11g or what?

Will http://www.ebuyer.com/product/46056 work ok?

Its an Acer will get Model number & check, I just asked him if it had a slot on the LEFT creditcard sized & thought it was PCMCIA (like my old laptop had).

Just spoke to my friend & its a Acer 1300 series ET25

Any ideas if its PCMCIA or not? Otherwise I'll have to pay more & get a USB Dongle to connect to Sky

Cheers

Re: Sky Wireless (PCMCIA card)

It's a G chipset router based on the Netgear DG934G so either a pcmcia card or USB1.1 G dongle will do you (remember that you are only likely to get 6Mbp thoughput due to either the PCMCIA or USB limitations (maybe more on the PCMCIA))
