T-Mobile Mobile Broadband a definate NO NO!

Well from my experience I would definately not touch T-Mobile's mobile broadband with a barge pole!

I got the laptop deal and it came with web n walk max, the internet is so slow I did my laundry in the whole time it took facebook front page to load up and that was with T-Mobile's 3G signal with 3 bars.

My virgin broadband is out of action at home at the moment as well as my TV and phone because somone has cut all my cables outside, so i was depending on the mobile broadband, I also took it away with me to the south coast where i spent a week on holiday, i couldn't get no signal at all, so i called them up and guess what the masts where down, phoned them up today and the masts surrounding my home are down, is this a big nationwide fault because i'm now having to connect my 3 mobile phone to my laptop and guess what its amazing! never thought mobile broadband would be so fast, well done 3!

But T-Mobile! What a disappointment.

Re: T-Mobile Mobile Broadband a definate NO NO!

I think the masts are down is a general excuse with T Mobile. My niece has had it for just over a year, and her speeds have never been faster than dial up. What a joke.

I use T-Mobile mobile broadband and it works fine. Are you using it in the middle of your house?

Look its the same everywhere I go and everytime I speak to someone they fob me off, well i'm gonna fob them off when I take action to cancel the contract and not pay anymore money. I will take them to court if it goes that far.

The service is appauling!

3G signal? Well obviously you don't live in T Mobiles high speed internet area, did you not check it out first before you ordered it, because you can't expect to use mobile broadband with a laptop if you only get a 3G signal. What you really need is to live in an area that supports HSDPA speeds.

If you never connected at fast speed then you have grounds to cancel without penalty if you've only had it a short time.

This coverage map doesn't separate 3G from High speed internet unfortunately. I know when my 3 mobile internet says it connects at 3G speeds it's unusable on my laptop.

Re: T-Mobile Mobile Broadband a definate NO NO!

This is what caused me not to go with T-Mobile for mobile broadband - they couldn't provide a 3G signal in my house, not even HSDPA. Three took bloody ages to provide an HSDPA signal, despite the coverage map in their store saying that it was possible. Only one that's remotely consistent is Orange.

Re: T-Mobile Mobile Broadband a definate NO NO!

That's a shame. I have T-mobile's mobile broadband for almost a year now and it works perfectly. From my home in south London to uni in Central London and even Heathrow airport i've not had a problem with speeds. I know that probably doesn't help your situation in any way, but T-mobile aren't all that bad

Re: T-Mobile Mobile Broadband a definate NO NO!

I usually get good speeds and a reliable connection on my laptop here in London but over the last few days the service seems to have become appalling. Am only getting a very unreliable dial up connection, if that. It is virtually unusable.

Is anyone else suddenley experiencing the same problem?

Re: T-Mobile Mobile Broadband a definate NO NO!

Speedtest of my T-mobile mobile broadband:

I'm on the 'Broadband Plus' and according to the T-mobile website should be getting:
Quote:
Surfing speeds up to 7.2Mb/s
Upload speeds up to 2Mb/s
I guess i should be grateful of my VM broadband!
