dragging up an old topic but i we had the trial installed yesterday in work, conencts about 25meg from 40 which was a bit disapointing as we can hit about 20meg with be* on our other line, upload is 2meg

Yeah it's subject to the same dynamic line management that the other DSL services are subject to, so it'll vary a bit in the first few days. Glad it's working well, and I'm looking forward to availing myself of it for the 10Mbps upstream option which is going to be available very soon

yeah i was suprised at how it varied as when the guys came selling it they checked the line and said 26meg, so upto 35+ and im happy, routed the old connection on usenet and hitting 50meg downlaods

They were always pretty conservative about these things. Once my area is done I'll bolt an FTTC and a VM cable connection together through my home-made router. Huge e-penis enlargement!

Unsure when my area will be done sadly as they've only announced a limited deployment and are very tight-lipped after that, but hopefully will be next year.
