Has anyone had any experience with this ISP? the new area im moving to does not have Be so im stuck looking for another ADSL provider...VM cable is available but with the huge amounts of STM, phorm amongst other stupid crap they are pulling i dont wish to be with them, already have sky for TV ready.

Does anyone know just what is classed as excessive on their FUP?

Re: UKOnline

If you already have Sky TV, why not just get Sky Broadband?

UKOnline is actually owned by Sky (it's part of Easynet), & Sky BB is effectively subsidised UKOnline/Easynet broadband.

Re: UKOnline

I was going to go with Sky broadband but the upload speed 768k isnt high enough...Ukonline has 1mbit up, which while it isnt as good as Be, it would come in handy.

Re: UKOnline

Ukonline is a very good isp as long as you are in a unbundled (LLU) area.

First check on samknows.com if your exchange has sky/easynet presence, if it does then it should be fine, ideally also check on your line length. Anything under 1km and should be high speeds.

The official FUP states if there is no speed related complaints from other users in your area then the usage is effectively not monitored, if there is complaints they will move the heaviest users in an area to a segment of their network sharing with other heavy users and you may recieve a warning letter. I have not heard of this happening to a single person on ukonline.

The romours are the FUP is 500gig again tho I have yet to hear of someone been told of for breaching this.
