Re: Mobile Laptop Broadband

I've just signed up to 3's 3gb a month tariff... until the end of March via their website, you can get a 12mth contract for £15 a month which gives you a free modem and 3gb a month of bandwidth. You'd usually have to pay for the modem on this tariff... not bad at all!

£15 is a decent price, but 3GB is pretty low, what happens if you go over this usage? do they charge you extra or just ask you to cut down?

EDIT:

ok, looking at Three website, it says they charge 10p per MB if you go over your monthly allowance.

EDIT 2:

Just signed up to Three £15 per month with 3GB usage allowance, although i do think this is a little on the low side, but i only wanted a 12 month contract and i didn't want to have to pay for the USB, so i guess its fine.

Re: Mobile Laptop Broadband

T-Mobile do "Web 'n' Walk Plus" on a 24 month contract with "Unlimited" data (fup applies) for £15/month with free modem...

Edit: Just noted that FUP on W'n'W Plus is still only 3gb

Re: Mobile Laptop Broadband

The deal from Three would seem the best I've seen and the speeds are not bad, used my mates one the other week and it was great.

Re: Mobile Laptop Broadband

As people have said above... 3 charge 10p per 1mb over the allowance, but T-Mobile don't charge at all if you go over (hence the "Unlimited" tag given to it).

It really is a good deal though for a 12mth contract.

Just got an email from ebuyer earlier though and their PAYG modem on 3 is £69.99 now... then you pay the £10 or £15 per month to get 1Gb/3Gb allowance. If you are going to use it each month though, the contract is still the better option.

Is there a PAYG option? I don't mind paying more for mb downloaded, but don't want to be tied in to a contract.

OK - where do I sign up?

I expect, even at this rate, my occasional use over a year will cost less than an annual contract.

Re: Mobile Laptop Broadband

T-Mobile's "unlimited" service is not "unlimited" it is subject to a fair uage of 3GB per month. If you go over, you get charged.

Three is the best deal at the moment for that price, since it is only a 12 month contract compared to T-Mobile's 24 month contract.

Re: Mobile Laptop Broadband

Thanks, but I do not want a contract.

Is there a service that is strictly "pay as you go"? I understand that I'll have to pay for the modem.
