Re: AOL giving away FREE PS3's...
i know several that have had AOL and never had a problem with their connection, it all comes down to it being AOL tho as many people jump on it say dont get them, a bit like PC world, people say not to use them but sometimes they do have good offers

Also is that site fully legit? If you look at the link in the top right hand corner, it says "Already on AOL Member?" when it should say "Already an AOL Member?"

It says "an"
A quick "Whois" shows:
Quote:
Domain name:
myaolbroadband.co.uk
Registrant:
AOL LLC
Registrant type:
Non-UK Corporation
Registrant's address:
22000 AOL Way
Dulles
VA
20166
US
|
A DNS enquiry reveals the IP as 195.93.94.57 which is owned by:
Quote:
inetnum: 195.93.64.0 - 195.93.127.255
netname: AOL-EU-2
descr: AOL Inc
country: US
admin-c: AOL5-RIPE
tech-c: AOL5-RIPE
status: ASSIGNED PA
mnt-by: AOL-EU-MNT
mnt-lower: AOL-EU-MNT
changed: domains@aol.net 20000220
changed: domains@aol.net 20000621
|
So, all in all I'm comfortable it's legit.
Still wouldn't touch AOL with a 10 meter cattle prod!
