ANYONE USE Be INTERNET 24meg ADSL2+?

Be internet advertise the fastest Broadband ADSL2+ speeds in the UK of up to 24meg. Has anyone here connected or is using this service?... I would appreciate anyone who is/has to give an indication of Be Internets service and whether the speeds add up in your experiences.....?

Appreciate the replies on this topic!

Re: ANYONE USE Be INTERNET 24meg ADSL2+?

We've got Be at work - it was really fast when we got it, but there was nothing to really compare to, now, it feels to me as if its slowing a bit as more and more users move over to it

O2 have just started a large advertising push too (they own Be, and are using Be's network for the O2 broadband) so i'd expect it to slow more.

Be/O2 never overload their network, if it needs more capacity, it will be added.

If it's slowing too much something is wrong your end

As for when i had Be, always 22mbit, always 2.5mbit up, i miss it, soo much, now im stuck with VM

It's excellent. 1.4 km from exchange, (879 straight line) and I get solid and stable 18 down and 1.3 up.
Mind you, after VM nightmare, anything would be good.

Re: ANYONE USE Be INTERNET 24meg ADSL2+?

Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 1,178 / 10,023
Data Transferred (Sent/Received) [MB/MB]: 8.16 / 139.50
Output Power (Up/Down) [dBm]: 12.0 / 19.0
Line Attenuation (Up/Down) [dB]: 14.0 / 30.0
SN Margin (Up/Down) [dB]: 7.0 / 6.0

BePro, 900m from the exchange.

Thought it might be better.
It is better and cheaper than VM though.

Err sounds like your phone lines pretty bad if your getting 30DB attenuation at 900m distance..

Are you running through an extention or master socket?

Yep thats my take on it.
Running from the master socket and done the bell wire mod.
900m is as the crow flies, I have no idea of the real distance.

Do you mean an estimate of the distance? I've looked at DMT till my eyes bled but could not see anything?

Yeah it usually gives you an estimate of the distance...

It also gives you RCO readings on what the theoretical max your line can handle at the current performance.
