BT Broadband basic question!

Hi,
Can anyone help me with a query please! I am hoping to install a wireless adsl router for a friend who is on broadband basic at the moment... looking at BT's site it says that you cannot share the connection with more than 1 PC. My question firstly is can it be done and secondly will BT know that it's being done and ask my friend to stop/upgrade?

Many thanks for any help!
Gary

Re: BT Broadband basic question!

BT don't support more than one PC, nor will they support your wireless router.

Having said that, there's no reason for them to know you are using a router and more than one PC

Thanks Stuart!
Is this something you have tried? I just need to be sure it will work! I was wondering how Bt could tell anyway?

Re: BT Broadband basic question!

Before I had Ntl installed I was on BT broadband with a router.

I didn't have any issues with it and a few friends have networks set up with no problems from BT at all.
