V+ HD and Second TV on RF

Hi, guys/Girls

i want to set up a second tv via Rf cable but i dont seem to be able to get it working. Has anyone any ideas.

im ive tried scanning for it but it just doesnt work. Under settings on my box it says channel 52. does this mean i go to channel 52 on my tv. what im i missing

please help i thought it would be straight forward. ihave found some info and need to know is it true. i need to watch tv downstairs tv in standard defination for the rf cable to work unless i use a sender via scart (vcr).

i would probably go for the cable up stairs via rf but how hard is it to swop between hd and sd

cheers

dustin

Re: V+ HD and Second TV on RF

The 52 just indicates the frequency it is using. It probably won't be channel 52 on your TV, but that doesn't matter. Scanning ought to pick it up.

You should be scanning for analogue channels, not digital. Does the TV find analogue channels if you plug in an aerial?

If you are happy you are scanning correctly, recheck the cabling from the STB to the TV.

ps Welcome to the forum

Re: V+ HD and Second TV on RF

the rf output is disabled when watching through HDMI, if you put the box back to scart the RF output re-enables

Isnt the RF bypass being disabled altogether along with the Analogue switchoff? This function wont last for long I cant imagine.

Re: V+ HD and Second TV on RF

He's not using the bypass. Just the RF output from the STB, which will be there as long as the STBs have RF outputs.
