£30 credit in "TECHNICAL STUFF"
whats is this £30 credit thing?
VM+HD got set up about 2 months ago (i LOVE IT) and they did say something about £30 credit at the time but to be honist i didnt really understand them and forgot all about it.
(because i was too worked up about comeing from 2mb slow as hell BB and about 12 freeview channels to the top tear VM goodness)
today i was looking about in the menus and found in the technical stuff a row called "credit" with £30 to the right of that, i dont understand whats thats for or how i use it. is it used for pay-pre-view movies? or is it showing that £30 will come off my bill? can i use it to say get a porn channel for a night then have that come out of the credit showing on my box? im sorry if i sound really thick but i dont understand.......
can someone help me bye explaining what this £30 is all about and how it is used, thank you

Re: £30 credit in "TECHNICAL STUFF"
No, it means once you've spent £30 you can't spend anymore, this is to prevent you overspending on On Demand things on you're bill. You are still charged but can only spend £30 on On Demand programmes every month

Re: £30 credit in "TECHNICAL STUFF"
As Ben says, it's a limit to stop you spending more than £30 in one month on top of your services.
If you hit the limit, then you can't order any more until the bill clears.

Re: £30 credit in "TECHNICAL STUFF"
30 seems a bit low.
The credit limit on my box has always been in the low thousands, currently 3000. Even though no one in my household has actually ever used [paid] VOD

Re: £30 credit in "TECHNICAL STUFF"
Actually, the credit limit on the box isn't used any more. It used to be there to prevent overspend on pay-per-view channels, but now they are billed immediately in the same way as VOD purchases are.
