re-route cable

I have an engineer coming this week to look at my Pace STB as it freezes, at the moment the cable run from box outside the house to the upstairs bedroom and then the the STB downstairs, if I ask the engineer nicely, will he/she re-route my cable from outside the box to the room where the STB is downstairs.

Smile Re: re-route cable

It will depend if he has time as a fault call is given less time than a Install / move cable job

Re: re-route cable

Its worth an ask, but don't get your hopes up. For a chance of the answer being yes the following conditions have to be met all at once:

1) Nice engineer
2) Engineer is well ahead on his route of jobs
3) Move doesn't involve a lot of cabling
4) You are nice to the engineer

If any of the above aren't met it will be a definite no! And the chances of the above all being met at the same time are pretty low.

If you don't ask you don't get!

Re: re-route cable

asked engineer but he was rather busy as he had a lot of calls to make all over the area...and didnt have time, was a very friendly guy as well and am sure if he had time would have done the job.
