Installation tomorrow - Best Modem/Router and Optimal power levels
Hi,

Having 10MB Virgin broadband and phone line installed tomorrow at home and at work (business line).

I would like to know which modems and routers Virgin are giving out these days and if there is any specific model(s) to try and avoid.

Also what are the optimal power levels and SNR.

Your unlikely to get a choice which ones you want, chances are you'l be given a Scientific Atlanta WebSTAR Cable Modem along with a Netgear WGR614v9, as for the signal levels im not too sure...

The Cisco and the Ambit modems are just as good as each other, the white netgear is rubbish but the black d-link is good, but that aside you have no choice
