Question V+ Box Connection

How does the v+ box connect to virgin media? Is it the exact same way as the normal box? I've tried ringing customer services but all they kept going on about was how it's got loads of brand new features and has an offer on half price installation. All i really want to know is do i actually need to pay for installation or can i just switch the old box which i already have with the v+ box?

Re: V+ Box Connection

Hi

The connection is exactly the same, but they will insist you have it installed to ensure that the box to card pairing, V+ features, return path for 'on demand' & the TV picture are set up by the technician. (well that was how mine was done, he didn't leave until it was all working & ran me through the basic features for watching & recording tv)

- the upside being if it goes wrong, they can't say it was because you hadn't installed it correctly

Re: V+ Box Connection

you HAVE to pay the installation fee. VM do not allow self installation of the V+
