Moving house problems.

Just wondered if any of you good people on her can help me? I'm in the process of moving house, the house I was supposed to be moving into had some damage done to it last Sunday when we had the heavy rain, the landlord offered me another property because he didn't think he'd get the place ready in time for me to move in on Tuesday.

I had an installation booked for Wednesday the 7th of May between the hours of 1PM and 6PM.

I had to cancel that installation and alter it to a different property, when I told Virgin this they said there was an active account at that address which they had to cancel, Virgin also said that they would cancel my installation I had booked for the 7th of May.

Anyway about 2 hours later the landlord phoned and said I could move into the property that suffered a little bit of damage as he'd got the materials and would be working all over the weekend to get the job finished and ready for me to move into on Tuesday.

I got on the phone to Virgin to ask then if I could cancel the cancellation and still carry on with with my install at the first address? They said it had gone off to cancellations and was in the system, the lady said that she'd put a note on my file telling them to cancel the cancellation and to proceed with the original install on the 7th of May, she also told me to ring back on Monday because she couldn't access the account and speak to the people in cancellations.

Could any of you good people on here advise me as to what to do because at the moment I'm without phone and broadband at this moment in time, I need this install to go ahead on the 7th of May.

Can only suggest you get onto them again - Her putting a 'note on file' doesnt mean anything. Not sure if tMovers are open today or tomorrow though.

Re: Moving house problems.

I spoke to a lady this afternoon called Ginnette Macgregor who sorted it all out within 5 minutes, after looking through the accounts she sorted it all out, my install is booked for Saturday. A big thank you to Ginnette who sorted it all out.
