Re: new v+ install
If ,as I presume, you get your BB through a modem, as opposed to a STB, then nothing will change.

You bb doesn't need to be near your tv. Miy tv is downstairs and my bb is up here in the computer room

Re: new v+ install
Your Modem will be left where it is as will your phone.
A new cable will be installed to the position of your TV.

You can use digisenders but not if you want to receive any HD broadcasts.
Once you enable the HDMI output (for HD) the scart outputs are disabled which digisenders work on.
if your main telly is no a HD one you have nothing to worry about. If it is then you have to decide what is more important to you. HD or Digisender.

Re: new v+ install
I've just had the day from hell having my STB replaced with a V+. I already had BB going through a wireless router into the STB so virgin would also be. All looked like it was gonna be easy enough, a letter came telling me of a new pin number & away we go. I tried to get to the activation.virginmedia.com screen before the engineer left, but when i said i couldn't get the screen he said he knew nothing about that & did a runer pretty quickly! I guess it's probably not reasonable to expect him to sort it out, but it did mean that we had gone from having a BB connection that worked to one that doesn't through no fault of our own.
So, I ring the freephone number in the leaflet, aftera minute i discover that I have to ring a premium line! So off to the call centre I go. During the 20minute call, 2 mins at least must have been wasted by the guy telling me how many minutes I had spent on the call. By the end of it, we'd unplugged the wireless router, rebooted the PC, cable modem & still got nowhere. the one good thing here was he called me back after the 20mins were up as he wasn't allowed to keep me on the phone for longer than 20mins.
So after various rebooting we had the activation screen up using a cable rather than wireless. At this point the options on the screen nor the leaflet actually fit the scenario - I am not a new user nor am I transferring existing email from dial up. I assumed the latter was the most likely, but on the next screen got an error message, so was back on the premium number again. So followed the same routine of rebooting pc, cable modem, unconnecting the modem etc. Then the guy tells me he has done all the registration stuff for me & I should just be able to go straight onto the net as usual!! Lo & behold it works!
So, tonight I've still got to connect up the wireless router & see if wireless connection works anymore, but basically it's been a nightmare & I dread to think how much I've had to spend on a premium phone line to sort it all out. Ok so the 2nd guy i spoke to was great, but what did he know that the 1st guy doesn't & why do I have to pay premium line phone bills to get back to where I started the day? I'm going to wait til I get my phone bill & then decide whether to complain - annoying really as I've never had problems with ntl since the first hash of an instal many years ago.
Hope you have more success than I did!

Re: new v+ install
if you speak to customer services (150) you be able to get a refund on the cost of the call. Calls for faults of Virgins doing are refunded if you ask.
