Can you help me out?

I just bought a Sony KDL-40W2000 TV to connect to my V+ box.


However there is a problem I can’t seem to set up the V+box and TV through the HDMI connections.

If I connect the V+box to the TV using a HDMI cable, I don’t get a signal from the V+box. But if I use an ordinary Scart cable to connect them up the Tv is up and running but the picture looks as if it ghosts a little.

I thought I could set up the HDMI format on the V+box with the Scart cable in, then go back and try the HDMI cable again, but that has not worked.

Ps the HDMI cable is the one supplied with the V+box

If anyone can help, I would be grateful.
