Provisional Login Problems !

My old man has just struck a new deal with virgin but it would appear in applying this new deal to his account they have made his computer go to the provisional login page but when he enters his pid and password he gets incorrect pid. He has rung virgin up and they give him a new pid every time but he is still unable to get his internet back and virgin he says don't seem to want to help ! what's his best options guys ?

Has he tried just rebooting the set top box?

Yes but he still gets the virgin provisional login page

Personally I don't think the Provisionals should be allowed anywhere near the internet!

his PID number is gong to be the one starting with 3 000's, so 000xxxxxx

& the password has probably been reset to 1234 if his old password is not working.
