Question about moving a tv box.

I have a cable tv box in my front bedroom and would like to move it in to a second bedroom. In the second bedroom I already have a cable modem connected to a splitter. Would it be ok to also connect the tv box to that splitter or call Virgin Media to have an engineer come to move it?

Re: Question about moving a tv box.

You could but try (does seem a waste of engineers time just to move something form one place to another). We moved our TV etc to the other side of the room which involved disconnecting the splitter box without calling an engineer (all works fine)

Re: Question about moving a tv box.

Thank you.

So the tv and modem will work just fine off that one splitter?

Re: Question about moving a tv box.

it can run off one splitter but it needs to be isolated on both too
