Re: Waiting for Installation

There is quite high demand for the V+ at the minute, some have got dates quite soon, I guess it depends how big demand is in your area.

3 Weeks is'nt too long.

Re: Waiting for Installation

Hope you get it when they say you are!

My installation supposed to have been today but!
the engineer who came out to install a modem and V+ said the box was not on his work sheet. he contacted his boss who said it is because it has not been raised against my accout, even though the VIP accout had been set up.
They I even had to ring up CS and get them to create a new broadband accout because that had not been setup soI had no Pin to install the software.
I was then told after already waiting nearly 4 weeks for the V+ box, that the install date would now be the 14th march.
I told CS rep that the engineer was willing to go to the depot and pick up a box and install it today if I could get the install forced. but it looks like that has not worked. I received a call from CS telling me that they had no boxes available for install today so someone from installs will call me back to let me know when i will get the V+, but no call as of yet, even after calling CS back and explaining to them that I need a date so that i can arrange time off when an engineer is coming out. but CS said they can only get install managers voicemail so they can only leave a message.
so No V+ and no install date except 14th March (until that day)

this is so annoying!!!!!!!

anyone have a number for VM retentions?
and one for SKY?????

Talking Update

Absolutly no Problems, there might have been one as they turned up an hour Early, but luckly i had taken the day rather than the Afternoon off work.
However it was lucky we phoned up a few weeks back to check something, and it was discovered that we would need a Modem with the installation, and after several attempts the c/s computer finally accepted that and it is all working fine, and we have all the channles we had before, its Marvalous!!!

Re: Waiting for Installation

Repulls have traditionally always taken ages to arrange

Re: Waiting for Installation

Thats what the guy said its not really a repull could do it me self if i understood the outside box want to bring the tv cable from the front of the house where it does start rather than all the way around the house and through my nice new extension.
also would like a split off to go into the main bedroom so could take box upstairs of an evening and watch it there

Thanks

G

Re: Waiting for Installation

This sounds quite similar to the problems I am having, I've described them in this thread.

Re: Waiting for Installation

I booked my TV service on 1st April and they're coming on 24th April. Seems a long time to wait but it will be worth it as it is the size XL package!
