What set top box do I get

I'm considering upgrading to the digital service. Can anyone tell me what digital set-top box you get?. If there is more than one type can you request a specific box?

The analogue box I currently have is quite small and the space under the TV is restricted. Also I like to know what someone is going to put in my living room before they install it.

I'm in the Glasgow area if that makes a difference.

You will either get a Samsung which is a silver box or a Pace which is a greyish box and about the size of a dvd player.

If you can make sure you get the Samsung as the pace is rather old.

I think Virginmedia(ntl) use both boxes. Hopefully the newer model(2110c) will be installed but it's down to what the installer has on the van.

Yeah, hopefully you will get the Samsung SMT-2110c. I've got this box and I've never had any problems with it. But as SnoopZ says, you will get whatever the engineer has in the van.
