Scam Number

In my postbox Ive had a brown envelope (used) handwritten on the back from someone i dont know 0752 etc and a message to ring it asap.

Now being worried as a member of my family is very ill i phoned it on my virgin home phone. To my surprise my fiancée answered the call on her pay as you go mobile wondering why i rang?

She has no call forwarding and to us its a mystery!
How come a totally different number redirects me to her phone.

I called customer services and the lady couldn't work it out either but put a note on my account.

I will log in to my virgin account tomorrow to see how much I've been charged for this call.

Anyone have any idea whats going on?
cheers

Re: Scam Number

I know that on the mobile I leave running for SMS's (microphone bust so not much good for anything else) I got a 2 ring call from 07520 905019 before it stopped, rumour is that it's a high cost callback number that scammers are using to gain money though the VM costs PDF's state otherwise???

Re: Scam Number

Checked my bill online the call cost 50p weird thing is it shows my fiancees mobile number not the number written on the envelope i had dialed.

Perhaps if i had used my mobile to make this call it would have cost more, still a lot of work just to gain 50p off me! I will be more careful next time !

Thanks for the number checker link I've used it but this one not included.
