a few weeks ago we had virgin phone and broadband fitted, when phone rings it goes to answer phone after 5 or 6 rings but we do not have answer phone, it is a panasonic dect phone it did not do this on BT,is it the phone or virgin what is causing this to happen, can anything be done
Virgin Media has a free Voicemail service and that is possibly what is kicking in.
if you dial 1571 from your phone you will be able to find out if you have it.

Just so you know, the advanced voicemail which costs £2.05 per month and lets you record a greeting, name and allows remote access allows the phone to ring a bit longer.
