2nd number through same line/phone
Hi guys,
We run a business from home and I would like to know if I can run a 2nd numer through my existing phone line?
Would this be possible, then the phone have 2 ring tones? We will only want the business phone active during office hours.

Hi, Virgin Media wont do this because its in their terms you dont use residential services for business use, as they have a dedicated business service for phone and broadband.
They will possibly allow that on their business services though.

Re: 2nd number through same line/phone
Easier and probably cheaper to get a voip phone for the second line.. but to answer your question you could get VM business phone installed but this would be a separate line.

Voice-Over-IP, using the Internet to route phone calls rather than a standard POTS line

Re: 2nd number through same line/phone
I am an agent for a company that does 2nd numbers. The 2nd number can be activated through either a landline or mobile. There is an initial set up fee of £19.49 for one number, which includes the set up fee and £10.00 credit. Calls to UK landline is 7p/minute and 10p/minute to a mobile. A monthly fee of £3.50 is required and you can top online.

As an agent for a company, it's a good job you haven't linked to that company otherwise you'd have fallen foul of our spam rules

Sorry but Call Sign is not available on Virgin Media anymore and was only available in Yorkshire as a trial.
You can have another line installed much cheaper than what BT Business charges, just call them on 0800-052-0800 to find out.
