How exactly would the telcos know which international numbers to bar?

I read somewhere on a forum that pressing the # key several times when you get anonymous silent calls confuses the machine dialling and they take you off the list. We've just had the fifth call this evening and I've tried doing it, so fingers crossed! Celia

been have the same problen now the unwanted sales call are coming in using the last number that came in.

ie:- last caller reads mum (the person who rung me)

then the next incoming call reads mum (so i answer it thinking its my mum) but no its one of those unwanted sale calls.

so now not only do i get the 0000001 number im getting these new problems.

VM says sorry im stumped cant help.
