Will Virgin follow BT

Just signed up with virgin phone to get the cheap b/band & TV combo.

I will only get free weekend calls but BT are offering free evening & weekend
inc. with basic £10.50 line rental if you sign up for 12 months.

This deal is only offered by Virgin if you have phone L @ £14.45 month.
Is it likely that Virgin will alter their costing in order to compete ?

If you sign up to a 12 months 'rolling contract' with paperless billing.

It's £13.95 with ebilling. But you said you already have a Virgin phone line with free weekend calls - therefore Phone Size L is only an extra £3.45 per month which combined with your cheap b/band & TV combo is probably better value than anything from BT.

Re: Will Virgin follow BT

I am getting 4meg = 10meg @ £16 per month + phone £11 & free TV = £27pm

I only signed up for the phone as we were paying £25 4 meg b/band & £5.50 for a now obsolete TV package, so I am paying less for more services really & we don't use the phone a lot for actually making calls.

I hope not as the BT contract auto renews each year and you only have a 2 week window to cancell it.
