Phone installation costs?

Hello

I used to have an NTL phone line 6 years ago, but it was always going wrong so I switched to BT, 6 trouble free years until now

I still have VM BB and TV. BT have said my internal phone wires have had it, so all 4 points in the house are now useless and the only fix is or them to install a whole new phone point by drilling through from outside, this is all fine and one point will have to be OK, but apparently this is going to cost as its a new install basically.

So I have BT and VM phoneline outside up to my house wall and then nohing, anyone know how much VM will charge me as a BB & TC customer to have a phone point installed in my house from their exisiting outside wires?

THANKS

Re: Phone installation costs?

For new customers who order onine it's only £20, but either way it's a damn site cheaper than the £120 that BT currently charge.

Re: Phone installation costs?

Have you thought about switching to VoIP instead of installing a new 'phone line?

Re: Phone installation costs?

I would be surprised if VM would or even could legally make a new connection from a BT (overhead?) wire to a VM socket. Their skills are running underground cables through your petunias/driveway. Best of luck if you can save yourself the £100 difference!

Re: Phone installation costs?

It would be £30 for installing a main socket. If you want extra points at install they are then charged at £30 per point.

If you get a tech out after installation of the phone it would be £75
