Don't see any reason why it shouldn't be.....

Have you tried a different lead?

Can you get to the router's control panel?

What IP address are you getting (if any) from the network adaptor on the PC (Start > Control Panel > Network Connections, highlight your adaptor and right click, select properties, the IP address should be listed in there somewhere)?

Don't post the whole address, just the first two sets of numbers should be sufficient.

Are you running a software firewall at all?
