Apropos of this and another recent thread, here's one of the other links on that page: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/kent/3796163.stm where a boy decided to wear a skirt to school to point out that the uniform rules were sexist.

That's just homo (don't mean to offend gay people) but if girls have a choice then there's no reason why lads can't wear shorts, or if they want to, skirts.

And referring back to the exam malarky- well it is the school's discretion on exam dress codes and their enforcement, so that school decided to make them work in isolation, another school wouldn't give a flyer, and the other school stopped them sitting it! Such is life.
