Which Tom Tom GO?

Hi,

Hello - any GPS / Tom Tom / TeleAtlas experts here?

I'm trying to decide between a Tom Tom GO 500 or 700 GPS.

In the very near future I'm going on holiday to the south of France and will be renting a car.

Now - if I wanted to get from - lets say - 123 ABC Street in Nice to 456 XYZ Street in Cannes would I need the 500 or 700?

From looking at the specs, the 500 quotes - "France and connected: - Major roads of Europe Street networks coverage:99%" whereas the 700 quotes:

"Door-to-door planning in the whole of Europe - All the newest TeleAtlas maps are now installed on a 2.5 GB Hard Drive as one seamless map, allowing you to find your way to any address across Europe. Coverage: Western Europe with Poland and Czech Republic. Postcode navigation for simple and accurate selection of your destination (UK & NL only) Street network coverage:FR: 99%"

So my question is - would the 500 get to any major / city where I wanted to go, but lose me if I directed to a particular street?

I know for sure the 700 would get me there as it has full maps...

What do you think?

Cheers for the advice!

Lee
