They do appear to be Windows Update files.. At least, they are on my machine.
kedaxx: As Paul says, if you are not sure what you are doing, don't manually alter the registry. You can totally destroy your windows setup if you alter/delete the wrong thing.
If you are concerned about spyware, make sure you have installed good anti spyware software, such as the four I use:
Microsoft's AntiSpyware (
http://www.microsoft.com/athome/secu.../default.mspx),
Lavasoft's Adaware (
http://www.lavasoft.de),
Javacool's Spywareblaster & Spyware guard (
http://www.wilderssecurity.net)
and Spybot (
http://www.spybot.info/en/index.html)
All are free. Adaware (in it's free version) will not automatically protect against spyware, so you need to scan your system with it regularly. Spybot & Antispyware help protect your system and can scan it. Spywareblaster and Spywareguard both prevent installation of spyware in the first place. Spybot and Antispyware do this as well.
Failing that, if you suspect a piece of software is giving you spyware, don't install it.
