Oh what a suprise !!!!

I would never use Norton antivirus.

At the computer shop I have lost count of the amount of PC's I have worked on with NAV on them with the latest updates. Everytime without fail, A scan of the drive in safe mode with AVG picks up loads of infections.

I would not even use the disk to keep the door open in the summer.

Bwahahahahaha, now that's a big mess-up for Symantec... Had NAV once... Uninstalled it, formatted etc... Just wasn't worth the effort.

to be clear, so as not to scaremonger..... this issue only affects Symantec Client Security Versions 3.0 and 3.1 (builds 3.1.0.400, 3.1.0.396, 3.0.2.2010 and 3.0.2.2020) and Symantec AntiVirus Corporate 10.0 and 10.1 (builds 10.1.0.394, 10.1.0.400, 10.0.2.2010 and 10.0.2.2020)

Products NOT affected are any Norton products, Symantec AV Corporate version 8.0, 8.1 and 9.0 all builds and Symantec Client Security 1.0, 1.1 and 2.0 all builds.
