Those new features in detail
Application Component Authentication
Comodo Personal Firewall 2.0 now validates all the components of an application before allowing it Internet access. These components can be dynamic link libraries, activex components that an application is using.
Application Behavior Analysis
Comodo Personal Firewall analyses each application's behavior and detects any suspicious activity before allowing internet access. This powerful new feature enables it to detect more trojan activity than any other firewall - including:
DLL/Code injections
Hidden Connection Attempts

Defense against Trojan Protocols
CPF 2.0 now features advanced protocol driver level protection - essential for the defense of your PC against trojans that run their own protocol drivers.
Smart Popup Alerts
Popup alerts are completely redesigned in Comodo Personal Firewall 2.0. They are now simple and more intuitive. Every popup alert now includes a Security Considerations section which provides significant advices to users. Each popup also has an associated Security Risk level shown on the top of it to help users decide a course of action. Although they are simple, the new popups also have an option to be more verbose or simple. Basic popup logic removes unnecessary popup alerts whereas verbose logic reveals each activity to provide more details
Windows Security Center Integration
Comodo Personal Firewall 2.0 is now recognized by Windows XP SP2 Security Center as a trusted personal firewall and reports its state.
Self Protection against Critical Process Termination
Comodo Personal Firewall cannot be shut down by Trojans,Spyware or Viruses. These malicious programs may need to disable the firewall protection before they can operate. Comodo Personal Firewall 2.0 secures itself to make sure its critical processes are always active and running.
PC Security during PC start up
Comodo Personal Firewall 2.0 now includes the option to secure the host while the operating system is booting. When enabled, it makes sure that no connections are established until the booting process is completed.
Automatic Updater
Comodo Personal Firewall 2.0 now includes an interactive automatic updater component so that users can check for updates any time.
Error Reporting Interface
To improve users' satisfaction, Comodo Personal Firewall 2.0 now includes an XP style bug reporting interface.
Firewall Logging
The new logging structure in Comodo Personal Firewall 2.0 is more powerful than before. It reveals all the activities with detailed descriptions of the events. It also allows exporting the logs in HTML format.
Security Rules Interface
Comodo Personal Firewall 2.0 has a completely redesigned security rules interface. More powerful, flexible security rules structure is combined with an easy to use GUI.
Application Activity Control
In this version, application connections are shown better. It allows watching each application in detail by showing addresses, ports and amount of traffic it used. Users can intercept and close any application connection with a simple click.
Graphical User Interface
The GUI of Comodo Personal Firewall 2.0 has significant improvements.
It allows full control over the firewall operations
It shows a host security index according to the protection level at which it is configured
Any part of the firewall can be enabled or disabled with one click
Application Recognition Database (Exclusive Comodo Personal Firewall)
Comodo Personal Firewall 2.0 can recognize over 10000 applications and determine their security risks. This database allows users to quickly ascertain whether activity is coming from a safe program or a malicious virus, trojan or spyware.

Re: Comodo Firewall 2 released
Well, after a few days use, I have ditched this version of the firewall. It has a lot of new features, agreed, but it slowed my PC down to a crawl. Not just web browsing either. All programs took nearly twice as long to load, and when booting up, my wireless connection took 3-5 mins to connect.
Ive now gone back to kerio which does not seem to bog my PC down at all.

Re: Comodo Firewall 2 released
Jetico is even better than Kerio, but it's more advanced. (still free!)

Well, I have an admission to make. I have re-tried the Comodo 2 firewall and discoverd the last time I installed it, I did not disable the Windows firewall ,some thing some other firewalls do automatically.
This time I have disabled the Windows firewall manually and have noticed a vast increase in speed on my system. Obviously the two firewalls running together were bogging my PC down.
It now gets the full thumbs up from me
