Does anyone get any virus pop-ups for nvpanel.exe its part of nvidia control panel that sits in the system bar.

I get general.malware.SFK.58e83ebe using bitdefender professional 9

Have you done a full scan recently? It's possible your system was infected by another source, and this file was infected.

I've done a online scan with the windows live and trend micro and it doesnt pick it up strange

Virus checkers do sometimes give false positives. Check the forums for NVidia and Bitdefender (I guess there must be some?) and see if the issue has been raised there.
