Virgin Media Security
I had to reboot PC due to a update, i belive , 8 times
Has anyone else had this experience

slowed my brand new machine to a crawl, removed, discarded it again.
brand new custom built PC, only had win7 on, nothing else. without VM security, I timed boot at around 18 seconds (its a sandisk extreme ssd), with it, it was closer to a full minute before it was ready.
back to Eset

Just click the links below run the first one then the second one.
1. Run the UserCommunity-Uu-RpsUU.exe file again if it installed with out failing and needs removed again.
2. Download Spduu-4.1.16.exe. Save the file somewhere that is easy to access on your machine such as the ‘Desktop’ or ‘My Documents’ folder.
3. Double click the file to run it.
4. Click Yes to confirm that you want to uninstall.
5. Restart the computer when prompted.

I found i was getting a esent id 490 error, found the solution via Microsoft Newsgroup, their is a hot fix from Trend as they know about this problem.

Just remove the Virgin Security and use Microsoft Security essentials instead.

I have removed Virgin Security, which dose not like any other anti virus, went back to avg

Have to second this. I had a problem when moving from trial version to paid version and the e-mail response time was about 5 minutes. Subsequently i had to ring up, got an answer immediately and spoke to someone in the UK who knew what they were on about. I was quite taken aback to be honest.
I also like MSE but have found it a bit "fragile" for want of a better term as the updates sometimes can be rather flakey on older systems as it doesn't always work on a couple of my older pc's, i suspect the reliance of the program on ms .net framework could be the culprit.
