Re: How secure is your password
It's all right to say that the password I entered would take 108 days to crack but that's a single PC working 24/7 on a local password with instant response on a brute force attack.. Take into account that most passwords are non-local would mean that instead of testing 100 passwords a second it instead it would take about 3 seconds a password. so take 108 days and multiply by 300 which gives me 32400 days.. If your server security hasn't banned/flood protected the IP after the first 20 attempts then something is seriously wrong.

Re: How secure is your password
One tip it suggested was think of a saying
For example "One small step for man one giant leap for mankind"
Take the first letter of each word and capitalise every other letter, and add some random characters.
#OsSfMoGlFm? would take 20 million years to crack.

Good point, It was on the gadget show and they were doing a piece on passwords, and a company was tring to open some docs that they had done.
So I would doubt very much it would use a dodgy site.

Re: How secure is your password
It doesn't seem to matter how secure your password is with Paypal, because their security is terrible, and hackers will get it anyway.

Strange.
When I put in what I call you, this appeared

Your password is very commonly used. It would be hacked almost instantly

You need to add Garyisa at the beginning and it'll go up to 2 million years.
