Just had an interesting conversation with a young lady who told me all my computers had viruses and was slowing down their servers.
She wanted me to log on to a website so she could fix it for me

what was worrying was she had my wifes name and address to go with my telephone number

It's a confidence trick/scam. Hang up and ignore in the future. (Edit: Re-reading your post, you seem to have that bit sussed!)
As to you wife's name and address. If she's ever entered her details online, or sent off for a "free" gift, then that's one source of this information. However, such information can normally be found in people's bins, it's why it's such a good idea to invest in a shredder.
