Speeding Up MSE Scan

Microsoft Security Essentials is well known for taking a long time to do a scan. There are 3 options, Quick which takes less than a minute and Full which takes over 3 and a half hours!

I did a quick scan earlier and it didn't find anything. Then i did a full scan and it found 3 exploits which i deleted. But i don't want to do a full scan again to make sure it's clean.

But there is also a Custom scan. It gives you an option of what to scan, Vista (C) and Data (E). Do you really need to scan Data (E)?

Also is there anything you can untick in the Vista (C) folder to quicken things up?

Re: Speeding Up MSE Scan

scan your system with super anti spyware or malwarebytes. you could also try advanced system protector, free scanner and remover of threats.
