Has my hotmail account has been hacked ?

Hi all

My hotmail account appears to have sent the following email message to all my contacts....

hey,
how are you ?
Just received my iphone 3gs 32gb from this website <WEBSITE LINK REMOVED - THOMAS T> . much cheaper than others and genuine . if you would like to get one,you can check it out.
Regards

Also when I checked my sent items the last two months have disappeared.

Any items on the best course of action. Ie Who to report to and retrival of my messages.

Probably YES, check your PC for any trojans/virii also change your hotmail password and check every setting on the account (make sure it's not forwarding to anyone or had another primary contact email added)

Yes - you've been hacked.
Suggestions -
1. Edit your post so that there is not an active link to the spammers site (or maybe a Mod will remove the link)
2. Setup a new hotmail (or gmail) account.
3. Email your contacts to apologise for the spam and advising the new address.
4. transfer contacts to new account.
5. Close the hacked account.
I doubt that Hotmail are interested in retrieving deleted messages, but you could try via the feedback link. They will probably not be interested in the fact that it has been hacked.
Sorry if that sounds brutal (and I maybe wrong) but it's a free webmail.
