Recent Malware research group removal test

The Malware Research Group did a recent test on a small number of programs to see how well they cleaned an infected pc.
Allthough this isn`t a widespread test in regards to amounts, etc, it is also good to see what programs fair better.

Results here if you`re interested-> http://malwareresearchgroup.com/?page_id=2

One thing i was surprised by is how SuperAntispyware did, allthough as with tests of this nature, next month could be a differant result...

Fair enough Chris. I only mentioned it because I used a-squared for ages but finally gave up on it because I was wasting too much time chasing false positives.

It even found problems with MS VisualStudio downloaded from M$.

Re: Recent Malware research group removal test

Mick i remember a year or so ago Panda Internet Security had a problem with one of its updates and it started finding false positives and a number of people found it removed program files from their system that wasnt infected.

Re: Recent Malware research group removal test

Probably but I never used Panda. AVG had a spell like that too some time ago.

I always set them to just inform me of problems, then I can do my own cleaning or as in most cases I find, not.
