Facebook password reset scam

I know you're all pretty much on the ball here computer-wise but I thought I'd share this anyway.

You may receive a email claiming to be from Facebook Manager titled "Facebook Password Reset Confirmation. Important Message"

Inside it will read....

Hey ??????? ,

Because of the measures taken to provide safety to our clients, your password has been changed.
You can find your new password in attached document.

Thanks,
Your Facebook.

And there'll be a zipfile attached with the supposed new password inside.

Guess what?

It's not from Facebook and the zipfile contains the Bredolab Trojan which installs rogue antivirus software and bypasses firewalls to install other crap.

Details here.

Hope this proves helpful.

Spammers/Scammers send their junk indiscriminately. While not everyone will have an account with whatever bank/site they are are targeting, some will and some will be gullible enough to fall for it. That's more than enough reason to keep it going.
