Avast! v5 Beta2 available to download
Avast! v5 Beta2 is now available to test. They have at last updated the interface which i think looks great.

I'm finding browsing the internet to be a far smoother experience to what Nod32 has given me over the last few months, so i'm really impressed with this so far, I'll do a full scan over the weekend.

I'm finding it very light indeed, AVG on the 3 computers i've used it on has always ground them to a halt and so far this is great, but it is early days yet.

get it on a virtual machine and test it with some dodgy sites . If you want a list there is a review of MSE being tested on the web you could nick the addys off that lol

I've tested it with the official dodgy site (eicar) and will do with others later when i'm confident important stuff is backed up! Probably do it before i install Windows 7 retail, not sure when though.
If i'm not happy with this then i'll install MSE like i've done on my laptop.

Version 5.0.221 update is now available and i'm glad to say it's solved my problem with newsgroup downloads.
