I'm not all that paranoid when it comes to security but after trying a Steve Gibson firewall test it seems my system answers ping requests - how can I stop that?
Running a Netgear router with W7 and KIS 2009 which of course contains the firewall.
The router will be the device responding to the pings and it should have an option, think Linksys use "block wan request" so look for something similar.
Russ, on my netgear (it's though a WGT624v4) under WAN SETUP I have a check box marked - Respond to Ping on Internet Port. If you have the same uncheck it..
